Pros: This Low-Profile, AGP card will run two 23" monitors at 1920x1080Ĭons: The drivers that ship with the card have some issues. so you will have to cut the bracket in half. The SFF has double slots next to the video card and other Dells don't. Not a problem for the Dell GX-270 SFF, but takes up the other slot. I really wish this card was provided with single low-profile brackets instead of the double bracket. Really, use the hotfix drivers from ATI for this card. Overall Review: I downloaded the ATI -hotfix- for AGP and installed prefectly the first time. Most computer stores can provide you with this power cable (or they can make it easily for you). Using a straight plug really isn't possible in most situations. I would have given this card 5 eggs if Asus provided a power cable and single brackets.Ĭons: You really need a 90 degree molex power plug to power this card. Audio works and outputs digital via HDMI to my HDTV too! This card supports HDCP and actually works.

I am playing Blu-Ray to a 42" Sharp in 1080P using PowerDVD 7.3 and doesn't load the processor very much and plays flawlessly in Windows 7 Home Premium. Fan is quiet and works in Dell GX-270 SFF with no problems.

I will update after running HDMI to my tv. I was able to hook-up DVI and VGA and use it to extend my desktop. Use the "china" icon and it downloads directly. Overall Review: DOWNLOAD DRIVERS FROM THE ASUS website first. Nothing that takes away from the overall rating. Not a big deal for me but may be for some. You can not have another card right below this one. You may or may not need the hotfix if you are running an AMD, but I did not need it with a pentium processor.Ĭons: The location of the power plug is dumb. I really don't understand why people are having issues.

Updated drivers from the location of the download and soon enough it was working fine. I downloaded the drivers from the ASUS website. Worked out of the box with Vista and I could get great settings even without the right drivers. I have yet to test the HDMI, which is why I purchased it but I read a review which says it will push audio and video. A low profile card would be a plus because the card I have in at the moment isn't all that big.Pros: Great solution for older machines without PCI-E. Like I said before I don't care so much about graphics (I can force most source engine games into Direct X8 and they look lovely and lag free) just a nice smooth gaming experience. I wouldn't mind to use this card in the future if I ever upgrade my pc. I'm looking for something in the range of £40-60ish (like $90? American prices are much cheaper due note.) Maybe more. I'm also English so i'll have to find the price myself if you recomend me a card. CPU-Z claims I can use PCI-Express and x16. Using a NARRA3 3.02 motherboard? Not too sure. I'm currently running a ATI Radeon HD 3450 and i'm looking for a decent cost effective graphics card to upgrade into. I'm not big on graphics but I do like to see a game with a good framerate. I've got loads of games from past steam sales and the majority work fine when tweaking with the graphics settings.
